A hair experience at the origin of everything
As a teenager, Eva suffered from hair loss, painful detangling, and an irritated scalp . Like many people with textured hair, she didn't have access to products tailored to her specific texture and needs.
She then decided to simplify her routine and share the benefits on her YouTube channel. Her minimalist approach, based on simple and effective skincare products, was a huge success. Demand quickly grew: where can you find the products Eva uses?
From community to brand creation
In 2019, Eva launched the brand's very first product: Lwil Maskriti , a raw black castor oil, produced fairly in Haiti.
This multifunctional treatment immediately captivates with its quality, effectiveness, and history. It is the starting point of an entrepreneurial adventure guided by common sense, high standards, and the desire to meet the real needs of curly, frizzy, and kinky hair.
A complementary duo
Deeply involved in the project, Reginald André (Eva's husband) joined the adventure from the very beginning. He is in charge of the logistical structure, the development of the website, and the establishment of a sustainable supply chain in Haiti.
Together, Eva and Reginald form a close-knit duo, working on a high-impact project. For two years, they worked to formulate a complete, simple, hydrating routine , free of fragrance and unnecessary ingredients.
This routine is now composed of:
→ Arcahaie Moisturizing Shampoo
→ Jacmel Moisturizing Conditioner / Mask
→ Belle-Anse Moisturizing Cream
→ Lwil Maskriti – Black Castor Oil
A concrete commitment to Haiti
Evashair doesn't just offer effective care. The brand takes concrete action to empower Haitian women and promote local sustainable development:
- Oil production within a local cooperative
- Funding for a school with more than 230 students
- Ambitious reforestation program: more than 500 trees already planted, with a target of 100,000 by 2025
Every purchase directly supports these actions. Evashair is more than a brand: it's a mission.
A strong message, an inspiration for all
What Eva and Reginald demonstrate is that it's possible to create a hair care business without compromising on quality or ethics. Their products are now acclaimed by both consumers and professionals.
At Colorful Black, we are proud to offer the full Evashair range in-store and on our website.
FAQ – Evashair
What is the Evashair routine and in what order should it be applied?
Typical routine: Archaie shampoo → Jacmel conditioner / mask → Belle-Anse cream → Lwil Maskriti (as a finishing touch or as an oil bath before shampooing).
As the brand does not yet offer a leave-in conditioner, we recommend applying a very hydrating and light leave-in before the Belle-Anse cream (which is more of a sealing cream than a hydrating one in our eyes).
We also recommend that you thoroughly clarify your hair and scalp at least once a month with a clarifying shampoo.
How to use Lwil Maskriti (black castor oil)?
On lengths and ends to seal in moisture, or as an oil bath before shampooing .
Evashair also recommends using it on the scalp, massaging it in occasionally before shampooing. We do not recommend applying oils directly to the scalp.
