Shampoo or Co-wash for frizzy and curly hair
Find your cleansing treatment among our selection ofco-washand shampoos for frizzy, curly and curly hair. In the early 2000s, shampoo for curly hair experienced a small revolution: goodbye sulfates, hello softness! Since then, many shampoos for curly hair have been displayed with compositions that respect this type of hair with specific needs. How to wash your hair while taking care of your scalp? How often should I wash my frizzy hair? At what point in my routine should I use a co-wash? We give you all the tips you need to start your hair routine with the right gestures.
Which shampoo for frizzy, curly to coily hair?
Shampooing can be a delicate moment in your hair routine. The role of shampoo is to rid the scalp and lengths of impurities in order to prepare it for the conditioner, otherwise known as the detangling step. We offer several solutions for washing your hair:Co-wash,Clarifying shampoo,Moisturizing shampoo,Repairing/fortifying shampoo,Anti-dandruff shampoo.
These different types of shampoos have the same purpose, to wash our hair, but meet different needs. A co-wash is a washing conditioner recommended between 2 shampoos to refresh your curls and scalp. Particularly gentle, it does not dry out and allows for more frequent washing. A clarifying shampoo deeply purifies the scalp and lengths. It allows a real hair "reset" by eliminating any residue of oil, silicone or any other substance present on your hair. The repairing / fortifying shampoo revitalizes dull and brittle hair or hair that has undergone chemical treatment (coloring, straightening, etc.). The anti-dandruff shampoo soothes irritated scalps.
How many times a week should you wash your curly, frizzy hair?
It would seem logical to answer that we wash our hair when it is dirty! But frizzy and curly hair does not have this "greasy roots" effect easily visible on straight hair. We must therefore learn to spot the signs that a shampoo is necessary: feeling of "heaviness" on the lengths, sticky touch, scalp too oily, itchy scalp
Regarding the frequency of your shampoos for frizzy, curly and frizzy hair, we recommend that you space them out by a week, that is to say, do one shampoo per week to avoid exposing your hair to unwelcome dehydration. If you feel the need to refresh your curls in the middle of the week due to sports activity or the heat, opt for a second gentle shampoo such as a co-wash. This method allows sufficient elimination of residues while preserving the naturally present oils, essential to the health of your textured hair. Once a month, opt for a clarifying shampoo to reset the counters and rid your scalp and lengths of all impurities.
What are the right steps to take to wash curly, frizzy hair?
Washing your curly or frizzy hair is an art. We detail a method that reduces knots and helps with a deep wash: 1- Wet your hair thoroughly. Water is the first element of your hair routine. From shampoo to leave-in treatment, it is essential. Hair saturated with water will help your shampoo to emulsify better for even distribution. 2- Apply the shampoo to the scalp. The lengths and ends are more fragile and must be preserved. The scalp requires special attention, especially in the case of dandruff. Applying your shampoo to the scalp is therefore preferable. 3- Massage your scalp with your fingertips. Scratching with your nails is to be avoided. This can create micro-lesions on the scalp. 4- Rinse the shampoo with lukewarm water. Do not use cold or too hot water at this stage. The hair scales must remain open to allow the conditioner to act. Too hot water weakens the hair and promotes dehydration.
Do a co-wash if you don't have time to condition. A quick, gentle wash is better than a shampoo without a conditioner.
The different brands of shampoos on the Colorful Black shop
Shampoo is an element that is found in all brands. It comes in various forms, solid or liquid, and its composition depends on the philosophy of each brand. Some shampoos, such asCleansing PuddingofAs I Amrely on a "mixed" formula, offering a good balance between natural ingredients and effective synthetic agents. Other treatments such asGrapefruit Watermelon ShampooofTropic Blissbet everything on an ultra-natural composition. We rigorously select the products that we distribute. We examine the compositions and if we validate, we share! Here are some brands of shampoos for curly hair that you will find on our Colorful Black shop:ApHogee,Anita Grant,Loop,Brown Butter Beauty,DevaCurl,Easy Push,Flora & Curl,Black O Natural,Obia Naturals,TGIN,TropikalBliss...
