The Anse-à-Galets Melting Balm from EvasHair is the sealing treatment in the moisturizing routine — the essential third step that locks in the hydration provided by the Île-à-Vache Spray and the Belle-Anse Cream, so it lasts for several days.

Enriched with grape seed oil, mango butter, beeswax, shea butter, and castor oil, it softens the hair fiber, deeply nourishes, and provides an intense shine to kinky, coily, and curly hair — regardless of porosity.

Formulated with 98.5% natural ingredients, silicone-free, manufactured and packaged in France.

Never apply without prior hydration — always after Belle-Anse Cream.

The third step of the LOC method: sealing for lasting hydration

In the EvasHair moisturizing routine, each step has a precise and irreplaceable function. The Île-à-Vache Spray moisturizes from within the hair fiber (the "L" for Liquid). The Belle-Anse Cream nourishes and prepares the outer layer (the "C" for Cream). The Anse-à-Galets Melting Balm is the "O" in the equation — the oil that seals. Its role is to create a natural occlusive film around each strand, which slows down the evaporation of water retained in the fiber by the previous two steps. Without this sealing, hydration escapes quickly, especially in dry or windy environments. With the balm, hair remains hydrated, supple, and shiny well beyond the day of treatment. This is particularly true for high-porosity hair, which naturally loses water faster and is most in need of effective sealing.

Beeswax, shea butter, castor oil: the sealing trio that leaves no heavy residue

The great quality of Anse-à-Galets Balm is that it is a powerful sealant without weighing down or clogging the hair — a difficult balance that few balms achieve. Beeswax (Cera alba) is the main occlusive agent: it forms a natural, water-vapor permeable film around the cuticle, locking in hydration while allowing the hair to breathe. Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) provides deep nourishment, suppleness, and slip. Castor oil (Ricinus communis seed oil), the brand's signature, intensely coats each strand and promotes fiber elasticity. Grape seed oil (Vitis vinifera seed oil) acts as a light binder that thins the balm's texture and facilitates distribution, while providing natural shine. Mango butter (Mangifera indica seed oil) additionally nourishes and softens.

High, normal, or low porosity: a balm suitable for all hair types

Hair porosity is the property that determines the fiber's ability to absorb and retain hydration. High-porosity hair absorbs quickly but loses water just as quickly — it needs a powerful sealant like the balm to slow down this loss. Low-porosity hair has tight cuticles, which resist overly thick emollients — the Anse-à-Galets Balm, thanks to its balanced formula and light grape seed oil, penetrates easily and seals without accumulating on the surface. Normal-porosity hair benefits from the balm's complete nourishment without any risk of accumulation. This versatility — validated by Eva Biassou over years of routines — has made Anse-à-Galets Balm a staple of the range.

Usage tips
  • Always apply after a moisturizing step—never use alone on dry hair.
  • After using Île-à-Vache Spray and Belle-Anse Moisturizing Cream, take a pea-sized amount of balm.
  • Warm between your palms and distribute section by section along the lengths.
  • For optimal sealing, finish with a few drops of Lwil Maskriti oil on top.
  • For high porosity hair: slightly increase the amount of balm for more intense sealing.
  • For adults and children over 3 years old.

Why choose Evashair • Melting Balm • Anse-à-Galets (150ml) ?

Step three of the routine: seal after the spray and cream

The balm is the lock in EvasHair's LOC routine — it coats each strand with a natural occlusive film that prevents water from evaporating. Spray → cream → balm: this precise sequence is the key to hydration that lasts for several days.

Beeswax + shea + castor: powerful sealing without weighing down

Beeswax forms a permeable and protective film. Shea deeply nourishes. Castor oil coats and strengthens the hair fiber. A natural occlusive trio that seals without clogging — suitable for all porosities.

98.5% natural, silicone-free, Made in France

An ultra-clean formula enriched with mango butter, grape seed oil, and carrot extract. Manufactured and packaged in France. The most complete natural sealant for textured hair.

Never apply without prior hydration

A sealing balm applied alone to dry hair traps air — not water. It only works as a third step, after the spray and the cream. This is its condition for effectiveness.

Frequently Asked Questions about Evashair • Melting Balm • Anse-à-Galets (150ml)

Can Anse-à-Galets Balm be used without Belle-Anse Cream?

No — the balm is a sealant, not a moisturizer. Applied alone on dry hair, it forms a greasy film with no real benefit. It must always be applied after a moisturizing step (Spray + Cream) for its sealing action to be effective.

Is the balm suitable for fine hair that easily gets weighed down?

Yes, sparingly. A tiny amount (less than a lentil) is enough for fine hair. The light grapeseed oil in the formula helps prevent weighing down. Avoid completely on the roots — focus only on the lengths and ends.

What is the difference between the balm and Lwil Maskriti oil for sealing?

The balm seals with a thick, nourishing film thanks to beeswax and butters — ideal as the third main step. Lwil Maskriti oil is the optional final sealing step, lighter, which complements and extends. Both together give the best result, especially for high porosity hair.

Can the balm be used on protective hairstyles (braids, twists)?

Yes. After applying Belle-Anse cream to the strands before braiding or twisting, finish with a small amount of balm to seal. The hairstyle holds better, and the hydration of the lengths is maintained longer inside the braid.
