Our truth about hair growth ✋🏾

“How can I make my hair grow faster?”

“What routine to have long hair?”

These are the questions you often ask us 🤔

…Especially when you are advised not to apply (without rinsing) these many oils which promise faster growth ✋🏾

1) Stop applying oils WITHOUT rinsing on your scalp

Well, this may surprise you / not seem logical... but by stopping saturating your scalp you are already taking a big step towards your growth goal 😃

In fact, with this practice (still too common in our community), in the more or less long term, you block the growth of your hair and risk suffering from alopecia.

Naturally, your sebum and perspiration play a very important role in protecting your scalp and providing an environment conducive to its good health (and therefore to the beauty and growth of your hair).

Both together form the hydrolipidic film. Let them do their job! 👍🏾

Frankly, the only product that we would advise you to apply, especially if you have itching or if you have abused oils in the past, is the Prophylactic lotion (trichology lotion), non-greasy and helping in particular to cleanse / maintain a good balance on your scalp 😃




2) Check if you have any deficiencies (iron, magnesium, vitamins, etc.)

It is important to have a blood test prescribed. This alone will allow us to measure any deficiencies and then monitor their development.

If you have anemia (iron deficiency) or other deficiencies, work to correct them.
This is the basis… and it will have a direct impact on your health, both positive and negative (hair is only a reflection of your inner well-being) ♥️

In case of a large deficit, your doctor may prescribe drug treatment.



3) Avoid stress…and sleep well

Stress is not our ally, so try to be zen as much as possible 🧘🏾‍♀️

Easier said than done? Definitely 😉

…but it is always good to remember that life is short. Let us enjoy it to the fullest, as if each day were our last. Let us do good around us and find satisfaction in what we do. Let us not be too demanding of ourselves.

Sleep rests the body and mind. By getting enough sleep you allow your body to regenerate, you make it stronger.




4) Adopt a healthy lifestyle, with sport and a balanced diet.

Proteins (plant or animal) are very important for the proper functioning of our body. They have a structural role in particular, at the level of muscles, bones, skin, like nails or hair…💪🏾
Therefore, make sure to include protein as well as vitamins and iron-rich foods in your diet.
Taking food supplements ? Why not… but start with beautiful dishes that you will enjoy tasting (as much as your body) 😁

Just as essential: water of course! 💧If you don't drink enough, your body will already lack enough to ensure vital functions... so there won't be a drop left to nourish your scalp (and therefore your hair) 😟

Goal = drink 1.5 liters of water every day (and be careful with tea... because theine reduces iron in the body...)

Finally, don't forget to do sports , exercise is very important for health... and as mentioned above, sweating is also very positive. By doing sports, you activate the sweat glands, which produce sweat. So let's get active! 👏
Don't feel like running? Not motivated to go to the gym or play a team sport? Then walk, climb as many stairs as possible 😅




5) Massage your temples and your entire scalp.

We recommend massaging your scalp in circular motions for at least 5 minutes.

This massage can be done daily, ideally in the evening… but the best time will always be when you are available, those few minutes when you think about yourself and only yourself 😎
You should be able to gently pinch your scalp (a sign that it has been well massaged/well relaxed)
You can do this massage with your fingers or use a scalp massage brush .

NB: be careful, massaging is not rubbing 🧽




6) Take care of your hair

“Last but not least” (as our Anglo-Saxon friends say), to have hair that grows you must already have healthy hair…

As we saw previously, this goes through the scalp and your body… but your hair routine also has a significant impact on the beauty of your hair and its growth.

If your lengths are damaged and/or dehydrated, they are more likely to break, thus ruining your growth goals ⛓️‍💥

Rather than wasting time (and money) on oils, adopt a simple but regular hair routine. This is the only way to have real effectiveness 🤩

Pay particular attention to:
  • Clean your hair and especially your scalp every week (including when you “wear” a protective hairstyle)
  • After shampooing, apply a hair mask (or if time is of the essence, at least a conditioner)
  • “Listen” to your hair to provide it with protein (via a repairing/protein mask) when it needs it
  • Moisturize your hair perfectly (and do not grease it) then apply one or more sealants according to their needs, or simply according to the hairstyle you will create.
  • Gently dry your hair after moisturizing and styling. This helps to close weak bonds (unlike air drying).



    In summary:

    • Focus on your health and well-being (correcting any deficiencies, zenitude, sport, good nutrition)
    • Leave your scalp alone (except for the occasional massage that will reward it with your beautiful hair… and possibly the Prophylactic) 😎
    • Love your hair and MOISTURIZE it, create beautiful hairstyles that make you even more beautiful and proud of yourself 👍🏾
