"How can I make my hair grow faster?"

"What's the best routine for growing long hair?"

These are the questions you often ask us 🤔

…Especially when you're advised not to apply (without rinsing) these numerous oils that promise faster growth ✋🏾




1) Stop applying leave-in oils to your scalp




Well, this might surprise you/not seem logical... but by stopping saturating your scalp you're already taking a big step towards your hair growth goal 😃






Indeed, with this practice (still too common in our community), in the short or long term, you block the growth of your hair and risk suffering from alopecia.







Naturally, your sebum and perspiration play a very important role in protecting your scalp and providing an environment conducive to its good health (and therefore to the beauty and growth of your hair).



Together, they form the hydrolipidic film. Let them do their job! 👍🏾


Honestly, the only product we'd recommend applying, especially if you have itching or have overused oils in the past, is the Prophylactic Lotion (trichology lotion), which is non-greasy and helps to cleanse and maintain a healthy balance on your scalp 😃









2) Check if you have any deficiencies (in iron, magnesium, vitamins…)

It is important to get a blood test prescribed. Only this will allow us to measure any potential deficiencies and then monitor their progression.

If you suffer from anemia (iron deficiency) or other deficiencies, make sure to correct them.
This is fundamental… and it will have a direct impact on your health, both positive and negative (hair is simply a reflection of your inner well-being) ♥️



In case of a severe deficiency, your doctor may prescribe medication.



3) Avoid stress… and sleep well

Stress is not our ally, so try your best to stay zen 🧘🏾♀️


Easier said than done? Definitely 😉

…but it's always good to remember that life is short. Let's make the most of it, as if each day were our last. Let's do good around us and find satisfaction in what we do. Let's not be too hard on ourselves.

Sleep rests the body and mind. By getting enough sleep, you allow your body to regenerate, making it stronger.






4) Adopt a healthy lifestyle, with exercise and a balanced diet.

Proteins (plant or animal) are very important for the proper functioning of our body. They play a structural role, particularly in muscles, bones, skin, nails, and hair…💪🏾

Therefore, make sure to include protein, as well as vitamins and iron-rich foods, in your diet.

Taking dietary supplements ? Why not… but start by enjoying delicious meals that you'll love to eat (as much as your body will) 😁


Equally essential: water , of course! 💧 If you don't drink enough, your body will already lack the resources to perform vital functions… so there won't be a drop left to nourish your scalp (and therefore your hair) 😟


The goal is to drink 1.5 liters of water every day (and be careful with tea... because the theine reduces iron in the body...)

Finally, don't forget to exercise ! It's very important for your health… and as mentioned earlier, sweating is also very beneficial. When you exercise, you activate your sweat glands, which produce sweat. So let's get moving! 👏
Don't feel like running? Not motivated to go to the gym or play a team sport? Then walk, climb as many stairs as you can 😅











5) Massage your temples and your entire scalp.

We recommend massaging your scalp in circular motions for at least 5 minutes.

This massage can be done daily, ideally in the evening… but the best time will always be when you're available, those few minutes when you're thinking about yourself and only yourself 😎

You should be able to gently pinch your scalp (a sign that it has been well massaged/relaxed)

You can do this massage with your fingers or use a scalp massage brush .


Note: massage is not rubbing 🧽





6) Take care of your hair


“Last but not least” (as our Anglo-Saxon friends say), to have hair that grows you must first have healthy hair…


As we saw previously, this involves the scalp and your body… but your hair care routine also has a significant impact on the beauty of your hair and its growth.


If your hair lengths are damaged and/or dehydrated, they are more likely to break, thus ruining your growth goals ⛓️💥


Instead of wasting time (and money) on oils, adopt a simple but regular hair care routine. It's the only way to achieve real results 🤩


Pay particular attention to:
  • Clean your hair and especially your scalp every week (including when you are wearing a protective hairstyle).
  • After shampooing, apply a hair mask (or if time is short, at least a conditioner).
  • "Listen" to your hair to provide it with protein (through a repairing/protein mask) when it needs it.
  • Hydrate your hair perfectly (and don't make it greasy) then apply one or more sealants according to its needs, or simply according to the hairstyle you will create.
  • Gently dry your hair after moisturizing and styling it. This helps to seal weak bonds (unlike air drying).







    In summary:

    • Focus on your health and well-being (correcting any deficiencies, relaxation, exercise, good diet)
    • Leave your scalp alone (except for the occasional massage that will reward it for your beautiful hair… and maybe some Prophylactic treatment) 😎
    • Love your hair and hydrate it, create beautiful hairstyles that make you even more beautiful and proud of yourself 👍🏾
