At Innersense, styling isn't just a finishing step: it's a decision in its own right, with its own rules. The I Create range includes seven products — gels, mousses, serum and spray — each designed for a specific purpose. No duplicates, no universal promise: just the right texture, at the right time in the styling process.

Many people ask us in store how to differentiate between Volume, Lift, Curl Memory, Hold, Definition, Finish and Shine. Here's how we present them, product by product.

Styling doesn't mean moisturizing

Treatments (shampoo, mask, leave-in) moisturize and nourish hair over time. I Create products have a different role: they structure the hairstyle and seal in moisture.

You choose the product according to the desired result — volume, definition, strong hold — and apply it as the last step, on damp hair, once the moisture has already been provided by the leave-in.

At Innersense, the leave-in conditioner moisturizes, the styler styles and seals in moisture: the two never substitute for each other.

Volumizing stylers: I Create Volume and I Create Lift

• I Create Volume — a light lotion with honey, aloe vera and rice amino acids. It provides body and flexible hold without weighing hair down, ideal for fine to medium waves that lack body.
• I Create Lift — a mousse with aloe vera, honey and sugarcane. Designed for wavy to curly textures, it restores root volume and structures the curl without making it stiff.

The two can be combined: Lift at the root for lift, Volume on the lengths for definition.

Jellies: I Create Curl Memory and I Create Hold

• I Create Curl Memory — a jelly enriched with bamboo extract, sugar complex and aloe vera. It smooths, moisturizes and sets in one step, designed for thick, curly to coily hair seeking shape memory.
• I Create Hold — the brand's iconic jelly, already presented in detail in our article on the history of Innersense. Still a benchmark for long-lasting hold, root to tip, without a crunchy effect.

The choice between the two mainly depends on curl density: Curl Memory for thicker textures seeking immediate hydration, Hold for more classic, versatile definition.

Strong hold mousse: I Create Definition

I Create Definition is for tight to very curly hair. Its formula with amaranth extract and pequi oil offers a particularly firm hold, capable of replacing a jelly for those looking for a strong structuring effect — without the rigid or brittle side of some classic gels.

Finishing products: I Create Finish and I Create Shine

• I Create Finish — a setting spray with honey, rice amino acids, rooibos tea and lavender. A clean hairspray that sets the final result while adding shine, on dry or damp hair.
• I Create Shine — a silicone-free shine serum, to be applied as the last step to enhance the hair's natural radiance, without weighing it down or leaving a greasy film.

These two products don't hold the hairstyle: they enhance it, once the curl is already defined.

How to build your styling routine according to your hair texture

• Fine to medium waves: I Create Lift at the root + I Create Volume on the lengths.
• Medium to well-defined curls: I Create Hold or I Create Curl Memory, depending on the desired level of hydration.
• Tight to very curly hair: I Create Definition, alone or in addition to a generous leave-in.
• All textures, for finishing: I Create Finish for long-lasting hold, I Create Shine for radiance.

Our advice in store: no more than two stylers at a time, applied in small quantities to hair drenched in water or leave-in. This avoids a heavy or crunchy effect.
