Origins of the Bouclème brand?
Bouclème was founded in 2014 by Michele Scott-Lynch, a curly-haired woman who struggled to find hair products that suited her hair. So she decided to create her own brand, Bouclème, which offers natural, effective and affordable products for curly hair.
Bouclème products are formulated with natural ingredients, such as jojoba oil, aloe vera and olive oil. They are also free of sulfates, parabens and silicones. This means that they are gentle on the hair and do not damage it.
How to use Bouclème products?
The brand offers3 shampoos:
- Curl Cleanseris its mildest shampoo. It is a cleansing cream that does not foam and dries out the hair as little as possible
- To further clean your hair or if you find foam essential, opt for theHydrating Curl Cleanser.
- The brand also offers an exfoliating shampoo that is ideal for ridding your scalp of impurities: theScalp Exfoliating Shampoo.
After shampooing, you will need to rehydrate your hair. This is why Bouclème offers you:
- her conditionerCurl Conditioner, which can be used with or without rinsing (leave-in)
- her hair maskIntensive Moisture Treatment, which, as its name suggests, provides intense hydration (use under heat to get all the benefits)
Use the towelCurl Towelmade from organic cotton and bamboo fiber to dry your hair without frizz and maintain the definition of your curls using the plopping technique.
For hairdressing, Bouclème has developed 2 styling gels:
- Curl Defining Gelis the most suitable jelly for fine hair because it offers moderate hold (for curls that remain very natural)
- Conversely, theSuper Hold Stylerprovides stronger hold, more suitable for thick hair.
While it is possible to use Curl Defining Gel as a daily styling and moisturizer on fine hair, the treatment that will perfectly hydrate and plump up your curls every morning is the famousCurl Cream. Styling (without being fixing) and moisturizing, it is ideal for all hair textures.
An anti-frizz range?
To our great delight, Bouclème has developed a range without glycerin. You should know that this ingredient is excellent for retaining moisture... but it can be very annoying when the climate is humid! As you can imagine, it promotes frizz....
This is why Bouclème has created a specific range, formulated without glycerin and to prevent frizz. You can use your usual Bouclème shampoo, but you will then need to use the 3 products from the Seal + Shield range:
